The term used to describe a situation in which an aircraft’s fuel supply has reached a state where little or no delay can be accepted.
Minimum Navigation Performance Specification Airsp
A portion of the North Atlantic 0.1 airspace between FL275 and FL400 inclusive extending between latitude 27°N and the North Pole, bounded in the east by the eastern boundaries of control areas Santa Maria Oceanic, Shanwick Oceanic and Reykjavik, and in the west by the western boundary of CTA (Control Area) Reykjavik, the western boundary of CTA Gander Oceanic, and the western boundary of CRA New York Oceanic, excluding the area west of 60*W and south of 38°30N.

Minimum Safe Altitude The altitude which is considered to be appropriate for MSAW protection for a specific area. Minimum Total Delay The time average defining the total (general) delay to be expected related to all aircraft in the arrival sequence established for a constraint point. Minimum Usable Elevation Angle The minimum satellite elevation above the users local horizon, that the satellite can be reliably used in the calculation of a navigation solution. The minimum usable elevation angle varies depending on the environment, the antenna design and placement, aircraft altitude and attitude. Ministerial Meeting on Air Traffic System in Europ Meeting of ECAC Transport Ministers in which the ECAC Strategy is defined. Minor Failure Condition (MTCD) Failure condition arising as a result of an MTCD failure classified as minor in Safety Analysis. Miss Generation Volume An intentionally introduced term to define miss allocation space. Currently it is defined by the PR or SSR maximum range. Missed Manoeuvre Non-conformancy A flight related situation that exists whenever a flight does not start a planned manoeuvre within a number of update cycles, as determined the missed manoeuvre parameter, after it has reached the start point for the manoeuvre. Missed Manoeuvre Time Interval A monitoring criteria parameter that determines whether a missed manoeuvre non-conformancy exists. This parameter expresses the time period, as a number of update cycles, in which a flight should begin a manoeuvre after it has reached the start point for the manoeuvre. Missed Plots An estimated plot when there is a PR and/or SSR detection loss. A PR-only or SSR-only detection can be accepted as SSR miss or PR miss plot according to the classification made by Miss Allocation process. Mission A set of high level statements in an organisational ambition plan giving the ultimate reason for an organisation to exist. A mission is usually considered achieved once a set of pre-determined goals have been achieved. Mobile Routing Domain A mobile routing domain is formed from ATSC and AISC systems on board an aircraft (or any other mobile platform), within the aircraft operator's Administrative Domain. A mobile RD is characterised as an End Routing Domain (ERD). Mobile Sub network A mobile sub network is a sub network connecting a mobile system with another system not resident in the same mobile platform. These sub networks tend to use free-radiating media (e.g., VHF/UHF radio, D-band satellite or D-band secondary surveillance radar) rather than "contained" media (e.g., wire or coaxial cable); thus they exhibit broadcast capabilities in the truest sense. Mode The coding of SSR Interrogation transmissions according to ICAO Annex 10 recommendations. Modes of interrogation are determined by the relative spacing of a sequence of transmitted pulses. Mode-A and Mode-C interrogators use the following spacings between the P1 -P3 pulse pair: Mode 3/A: 8 0.2 microseconds; Mode-C: 21 0.2 microseconds.
