RTCA DO-215A RTCA Document 215, Guidance on Aeronautical Mobile Satellite Service (AMSS) End-to-End System Performance, Issued 2/95. Contains guidance for the system and service requirements performance, availability and integrity - for an End-to-End System providing AMSS to end users. The primary elements of the End-to-End System are also considered individually. RTCA DO-217 RTCA Document 217, Minimum Aviation System Performance Standards DGNSS Instrument Approach System: Special Category 1 (SCAT-1), Issued 8/93. Provides the guidelines for a system to support differential GNSS (DGNSS) special instrument approaches. Requested by the FAA and consistent with the recommendations of the RTCA GNSS Task Force Report, the recommended standards in this document are specifically oriented toward supporting Special Category I precision approaches, that are specially authorised approaches made to MLS/ILS Category I minima with DGNSS used to provide navigation guidance. These approaches are expected, to be authorised for specific aircraft approaching specific airports; thereby providing the civil aviation community the basis for developing precision approaches using satellite technology. RTCA DO-218 RTCA Document 218, Minimum Operational Performance Standards for the Mode S Airborne Data-Link Processor, Issued 8/93. Provides a complete rewrite of the original MOPS, RTCA DO-203, dated March 17, 1989. The document represents a consensus among current manufacturers of the Mode S transponder with respect to compatibility of the Airborne Data Link Processor (ADLP) design and incorporates the "Fast Select" function recommended by the ICAO SICAS Panel and the EUROCAE organisation. From the viewpoint of international compatibility, DO-218 provides the information required for the avionics industry to serve a world wide market. |
