Trajectory Prediction 1- Computation of a 4D-trajectory based on an aircraft's planned route and altitudes. 2- The process of calculating a trajectory of an aircraft, based on a current or proposed plan, weather information, aircraft and flight characteristics data, and other variables. Trajectory Reconstruction A MURATEC sub process which reconstructs the trajectories taking into account the calculated systematic errors. Transfer of Control Point A defined point located along the flight path of an aircraft, at which the responsibility for providing air traffic control service to the aircraft is transferred from one control unit or control position to the next. Transferring Air Traffic Service Unit ATCU in the process of transferring the responsibility for providing air traffic control service to an aircraft to the next air traffic control unit/air traffic controller along the route of flight. Transit Transit is a Satellite-based Navigation System operated by the U.S. DoD. Transit Routing Domain A Transit Routing Domain is a domain whose policies permit to provide relaying for PDUS whose source is located in either the local routing domain or in a different routing domain. Transition Altitude The altitude at or below which the vertical position of an aircraft is controlled by reference to altitudes. Transition Altitude3 The altitude at or below which the vertical position of an aircraft is controlled by reference to altitudes. Transition Count The remaining number of Trajectory-Associated Track parts that satisfy the conditions for evaluation of some Input Transition. Due to Input and Output Transitions the Transition Count will decrease with time. Transition Layer The airspace between the transition altitude and the transition level. Transition Level The lowest flight level available for use above the transition altitude. Transition Phase The phase that follows the basic training during which site-specific theoretical knowledge and understanding will be transferred to the trainee, using a variety of methods, and during which skills will be developed through the use of site-specific simulations. |
