Record
See User Application Profile.
Recording data (MTCD)
To be defined. Should include all outgoing data (i.e. conflict data (MTCD) and acknowledgements of flight inclusions and exclusions).
Recruitment
The process of searching applicants to staff vacancies in an organisation.
Red, Amber, Green (RAG) parameters
Brief indication summarising the status of a given part or view of a programme or project at Programme Portfolio level : a) Cost : - Green according to plan; - Amber potential of going out of budget; - Red: clearly out of budget; b) Schedule : - Green : no slippage; - Amber: potential slippage; - Red : actual slippage; c) Performance & Quality : - Green : compliant with scope & specifications and accepted by customer; - Amber: potentially non-compliant with either scope, specifications and/or not accepted by the customer; - Red: clearly running out of scope & specifications, not delivering contracted outputs, partial or no customer acceptance; d) Implementation : - Green : stakeholders are confident in Programme / Project successful achievement; - Amber: risk of not delivering expected outputs to stakeholders, and/or of rejection by stakeholders; - Red: clearly not delivering expected outputs stakeholders an/or no stakeholder acceptance.
Reduced Airspace Restriction
An airspace restriction (e.g. a restricted or a danger area) that is reduced in size or in time as indicated in the relevant Airspace Use Plan.
Reduced Co-ordination Airspace (RCA)
Portions of airspace of defined dimensions within which GAT is permitted 'off-route' without requiring GATcontrollers to initiate co-ordination with OAT controllers.
Reduced Vertical Separation Minima Entry Point
The first reporting point over which an aircraft passes or is expected to pass immediately before, upon, or immediately after initial entry into European RVSM airspace, normally the first reference point for applying a reduced vertical separation minimum.
Reduced Vertical Separation Minima Exit Point
The last reporting point over which an aircraft passes or is expected to pass immediately before, upon, or immediately after leaving European RVSM airspace, normally the last reference point for applying a reduced vertical separation minimum.
Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum
A program initiated by ICAO in 1982 involving worldwide studies to assess the feasibility of a reduction of the Vertical Separation Minima (VSM) above Flight Level 290 from 2,000 to 1,000 feet. The studies were co-ordinated by the Review of the General Concept of Separation Panel (RGCSP) which included representation from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the International Federation of Airline Pilots Associations (IFALPA) and the International Federation of Air Traffic Control. Associations (IFATCA). The principal benefits which the implementations of the reduced VSM were expected to provide were: (a) a theoretical doubling of the airspace capacity, between FL290 and FL410; and (b) the opportunity for aircraft to operate at closer to the optimum flight levels with the resulting fuel economies.
