Entry Flight Level The flight level at which an aircraft will enter the FIR. Environment A set of elements that affect the system but which themselves are not controlled by it. Environment Data Data concerning conditions surrounding ATS (e.g., airspace structure, special operating features of the functions, meteorological conditions, and the like), which are not included in flight plans and/or surveillance information. Environment Static Data Function Version Control Environment Static Data Function in charge of generating information about changes between two specified client Static database versions. Ephemeris Accurate position predictions for a satellite transmitted by the satellite to the user in the data message. Ephemeris parameters A set of parameters used in defining the orbit of a celestial body or of a satellite. Epistemic knowledge Knowledge about things, events and rules. Epsilon Process Manipulation of the navigation message orbit data to limit the accuracy available to users of Navstar's Standard Positioning Service.

Equipment Capacity
The maximum number of flights that can be handled by an ATC system (e.g. the limited number of Mode C (or the future Mode S) identification (and flight level) codes that can be allocated at any time for a given sector size).
Error
1- Any discrepancy between a computed, observed or measured quantity and the true, specified or theoretically correct value or condition. The time that the flight may expect to leave the holding facility to commence immediate approach.
2- Error is the difference between the measured value (observed) and the reference value (actual) of a physical quantity The radar errors in position are divided to : a) systematic or bias errors which are represented by fixed values : ‘p’ slant range bias (at zero range); slant range gain (variation of range bias proportional to range), ‘0’ azimuth bias; b) random errors which are represented by standard deviations : ‘p’ slant range random error, ‘0’ azimuth random error. For the general case the important parameters for a Sensor are the RMS errors and not the st. dev. This is since the std. dev. is the RMS error with a mean of zero, i.e. the systematic errors are removed.
Note: An error may be due to a fault or a mistake, but errors also arise from lack of precision which is foreseen or Estimated Approach Time.
Error Budget A breakdown or listing of statistical errors for various contributors, which, when combined together. make up the total expected error.
Error Response Provides an indication of the rejection of a received message plus the reason for its rejection.
