Integrity
The assurance that all functions of a system perform within operational performance limits.

Interactive Guided Learning

Interactive Training
The provision of knowledge and skills by means of a computer with numerous interactions, student response analysis and allowing, when appropriate, free individual rhythm of learning (self-paced manner).
Interested Parties
Government regulatory bodies, Air navigation Service Providers, airport authorities, airspace users, international civil aviation organisations, Eurocontrol Agency, representatives of airspace users, airports and staff organisations and other agencies or international organisations which may contribute to the work of the PRC.
Interlace
A repeating series of SSR interrogation modes. The interlace pattern may be determined either on a p.r.p. (pulse-repetition period) to p.r.p. basis or on an antenna rotation to antenna rotation basis. It may also be made on a combined p.r.p./antenna basis.
Interleave
The condition where two or more pulse trains become superimposed in time such that their pulse time spacing can be distinguished and the correct codes established.
Interline Communications Manual
The ICM is published by ATA and IATA establishing industry standards and procedures for interline communications. Airline industry communications are conducted, on a world-wide basis, through the interconnection of a number of telecommunications systems. These systems comprise both dedicated airline systems and systems operated on a shared basis. For the efficient operation of the intersystem communications and consequent economic and accurate exchange of messages the user will be required to adhere to certain limitations relating to such matters as : address format, message format, length and priority.
Intermediate Flight Level

The target flight level for the intermediate (second) sector. Aircraft crossing less than three sectors have no intermediate Flight Level.
Intermediate Frequency
The received RF frequencies are through a mixer/converter transferred to a lower frequency, called the Intermediate Frequency (IF). The IF section of a receiver includes several cascade amplifiers and band pass filters. The Primary functions of the IF section are amplification and selectivity.
