Load Everything, including persons and items, that is carried in an aircraft and is not included in the basic operating weight of the aircraft. Load Control A system to ensure the optimum utilisation of aircraft capacity and distribution of the load as dictated by safety and operational requirements. Load Planning The part of the load control system that ensures a load is carried safely onboard the aircraft. Loading Instruction Instructions for loading of the aircraft produced by Load Control for the person responsible for aircraft loading. Loading Instruction/Report (LIR) The Loading Instruction, signed by the person responsible for aircraft loading and reflecting any deviations that occurred during actual aircraft loading, for action as necessary by Load Control.
