Propulsion system means an engine and includes any associated item of equipment utilised for sustaining, monitoring and controlling the power or thrust output of an engine installed on the airframe: Protective breathing equipment’means breathing equipment for protection against smoke, fumes and other harmful gases. Psychoactive substances means alcohol, opioids, cannabinoids, sedatives and hypnotics, cocaine, other psychostimulants, hallucinogens, and volatile solvents, whereas coffee and tobacco are excluded. Rating means an authorisation entered on, or associated with, a licence, certificate, or logbook, and forming part of it, stating special conditions, privileges, or limitations relating to the licence or certificate Reference landing speed means the speed of the aeroplane, in a specified landing configuration, at the point where it descends through the landing screen height in the determination of the landing distance for manual landings. Regulated air cargo agent means the holder of a regulated air cargo agent certificate. Remote aerodrome means any structure or any area of land or water used for take-off or landing to which access by road or water is restricted, limited or obstructed by geographical conditions Repair means the restoration of an aeronautical product to an airworthy condition to ensure that the aircraft continues to comply with the design aspects of the appropriate airworthiness requirements used for the issuance of the type certificate for the respective aircraft type, after it has been damaged or subjected to wear. Reporting point means a specified geographical location in relation to which the position of an aircraft can be reported Required inspection means any inspection required by the CAR, an airworthiness directive, or by an approved maintenance manual, programme or schedule Required communication performance means a statement of the performance requirementsfor operational support of specific ATM functions. |
