Acknowledged Status Status indicating that the principal inspector or designated proxy has reviewed the flag, and has entered an acknowledgment. Appears on the flag display as a check mark symbol next to the flag.

Acknowledgment Response to a flag status by the associated principal inspector or designated proxy. Required for flags in the needs attention status. Available for air operator and repair station flags.

Acknowledgment Type Acknowledgment status of a flag that is set when an acknowledgment record is entered into SPAS either by a SPAS user (principal inspector or proxy) or SPAS.

Advisory Outside the expected value range. Exceeds the advisory threshold, but not the concern threshold.

Aggregate Pre-defined set of certificate holders that have at least one common characteristic, such as FAR type for air operators. SPAS combines the base data for all the certificate holders as if it were a single certificate holder.

Aircrew Program Designee An Aircrew Program Designees is an air operator employee authorized to conduct airman certification activities under the aircrew designated examiner program.

ATA Chapter Code Code that identifies the detailed and specific area, component, or system on an aircraft (first two digits of the ATA code).

ATA Chapter Group Assembly of similar ATA Chapter Codes grouped for comparison. Used primarily for small aircraft.
