21-Q. What must aforeign national show to the FAA in order to take the airframe and powerplant mechanic examination?

A. A foreign applicant who graduated from an FAA approved aviation maintenance technician(mechanic) school must present an appropriate graduation certificate or certificate of completion. The ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.  Positive identification (i.e., passport). A signed anddetailed original statement from their employer substantiating the specifictype of maintenance performed and duration of each. A detailed statement obtained from the foreign airworthiness authority of the country in which the experience was gained or from an advisor of the International Civil AviationOrganization that will validate the applicant's experience. All documentspresented to the inspector or advisor must be signed, dated originals, andtraceable to the initiator.

If located outsidethe United States, a foreign applicant (without a certificate of graduation orcompletion) must show the following at the time of the application.

Proof that he workedon U.S. registered aircraft or for a U.S. carrier.

Positiveidentification.

如果是在美国以外工作的外国人（美国毕业证书或结业证书）必须出示以下文件：

从事于维修美国注册飞机或就职于美国运营商的证明；

有效身份证明；

一份由雇主提供并签字盖章的详细文件，文件内容必须包含申请者在每个阶段所从事的具体维修工作；

一份由申请者工作所在地国家的适航管理局提供的文件，或者由国际民航组织提供的能证明工作经验的文件。

所有的文件必须是签字并有日期的原件，而且有提供证明人的联系方式；

注：如果申请者是就职于国外的美国运营商，则不要求他具备英语听说读写的能力。如果他英语不流利，那么他的证书上会注明：“仅在美国以外的国家有效”。

在职机务考AP执照，总结三点：

1，护照原件，CAAC66部执照原件

2，所在单位提供的工作经历证明（需加盖公章或者证明人签字-原件）

3、民航局（对应各分局管辖的公司-如Ameco是华北局飞标司）开具证明-（这个证明是用来证实你的工作经历真实性，最好英文，提前电话联系，CAAC对应局方单位会告诉你要准备什么材料，这个证明不难--到了美国后，一般Inspector也不会专门看，全世界那么多机务申请过去考试，各个国家的民航局开的格式都不一样，一般FAA局方会让你读一下证明上的内容，问一下你执照上的ME或者AV什么意思的，顶多了）
